Requests: Are you going to have all the songs that your guests from both sides of the familiy might request? No, of course not! They generally don' t even know in advance what they will want to hear. And who is going to play those requests? Are you going to have silence while someone is searching the ipod for the song?

Music: Do you know how to sequence music in a satisfying manner, so that everyone is happy on the dance floor? Will you be able to transtiton smoothly between one song and another with just an ipod? And what about those undanceable introductions that many songs have? What about those long spaces on the ends of some songs that tend to clear the floor?

Sound level: One of the biggest complaints heard about even "pro" DJs is about sound volume! Who is going to keeping adjusting it at your event? Are they experienced in all this? wouldn't they rather be enjoying your wedding reception?

Rental: Are you going to rent sound equipment and cart it to the reception venue? Are you going to set it up? Are you going to wire it up correctly? What happens if it is not wired up correctly? Who is going to get it working? Who is going to return it? Don't you have enough to do on your wedding day? Are you going to get one of your friends to do all this? Wouldn't they rather be enjoying your wedding reception?

Damage: Are you going to be responsible for blowing a speaker woofer or tweeter, or ruining the amplifier? What kind of sound are you going to have once it is blown? Are you going to pay for the hefty damages when you return it (your credit card will be on file).
