EMCEE/Coordinator: Unlimited help in planning, and organizing your reception! Wedding receptions are extremely complex events. Great music is only ONE part of it all! There are numerous key people who need to work together. A top quality DJ/EMcee is pro-active in coordinating with bride and groom, bridal party, caterer, house manager, photographer, parents. He announces wedding party, bridal & parent dances, and keeps guests informed of flow of events. He accomodates the changing needs at the event, and is congenial, flexible. DANCE: Do you like to dance?   Hire a DJ that knows good dance music, because he also likes to dance! I quickly handle requests for the fun party tunes of every type, as well as the occasional swing, latin, ballroom, and ethnic dance. Most couples want a DJ who knows good slow tunes also.

PERSONALITY:Hire an experienced radio personality! Kurt DJ'd weekly on WVBR 93.5 FM radio Ithaca for 10 years. But please note: There are major differences between DJing a club/bar gig, and DJing a wedding! Please sure that you hire a DJ who knows those differences! Do you want a background type of DJ, without the "take over your event" personality, yet pro-active on keeping your event running smoothly, AND savvy on the picking the great tunes? Do want him to get out on the dance floor a bit, or do you want him to stay behind the DJ table: you choose!

SOUND LEVEL: Judging from compliments by guests (and parents!), this is such an important issue, that I have given it special attention on the home page! I regularly go out front and listen, and then adjust volume to a comfortable level. At the beginning of the event, I ask the guests seated closest to the speakers if the sound level is comfortable for them.
